New look for Alcaraz

Desk reports :

Novak Djokovic was seen wearing a Lacoste jacket for the first time at Flashing Meadows. Jack Draper is wearing a short-sleeved dress, imitating Rafael Nadal. Carlos Alcaraz is more talked about for his new look than the Serbian Djokovic or the British Draper wearing a short-sleeved dress.

The Spanish Alcaraz played with a full head of hair at the Cincinnati Open. He also had shaggy hair at the grass court Grand Slam Wimbledon. But at Flashing Meadows, he appeared with a shaved head! What some call a military haircut!

So how does Alcaraz look in his new look? If this question is asked to his friend and court opponent Frances Tiafoe, the answer will be no! Not only is it not good, Tiafoe called Alcaraz’s new look “terrible and really bad.”
But Alcaraz agreed with that? With her short hair, she is now “aerodynamic.” That is, the wind can no longer hinder her from moving quickly on the court. Tiafoe herself said this, “She was saying that she is faster than before. I don’t know who told her that it (the new haircut) is good. But it is terrible.”

What is really terrible? When Alcaraz was standing on the court after her 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Opelka, this question inevitably came up. In response, Alcaraz said, “I have to know if people like the new haircut.” Then, looking at the audience, she asked, “Guys, do you like it?” Then the audience shouted in unison. Carlos said, “I think they liked it.”
But what is the reason for this new haircut? Is it really to be ‘aerodynamic’? The Spanish star gave the answer at the post-match press conference. Alcaraz said that it was because of his brother, “My brother didn’t understand the machine properly, he cut it. Then, you know, the only solution was to shave his whole head.” However, Alcaraz dismissed Tiafoe’s claim of a “terrible” haircut, saying, “To be honest, I don’t think it’s that bad. Some like it, some don’t.”

Alcaraz will play Mattia Bellucci in the second round of the US Open.
